  • Be known by children, families and key stakeholders as a company that cares and takes action on sustainability matters

Challenges and Opportunities

The main challenges are setting up the processes and partnerships needed to enable product take-back; and bring circular economy thinking into fuel our material and product development processes wherever possible - likely involving strategic partnerships with NGOs and companies who can help support the LEGO value chain in this new area. Do you have what it takes?

  • Experience in working with environmental sustainability in a global context – identifying best practices, relevant country and regional level partners and implementing solutions with clear impact on sustainability (ex. sustainable sourcing/product take-back/recycling/etc.)

  • Anchor the sustainable materials agenda strongly both internally and externally connecting to consumer and employee engagement, and senior stakeholders to secure buy-in and visibility around progress

  • Drive engagement initiatives and communication strategy to raise awareness and acceptance among consumers for sustainable materials

  • Forge strong links with external expert communities, academia, NGOs, raw material scientists who can support and enable TLG’s mission to reach its Sustainable Materials ambition by 2030 and build our circular economy understanding and opportunities

  • A strong experience in managing stakeholders at different levels, both in eliciting input and feedback to develop overall vision as well as keeping stakeholders informed on progress and milestones

  • Proven track record in driving consumer and customer engagement, understanding communication strategy and online marketing

  • Leading large scale initiatives without direct-line management responsibility

  • Keep abreast of market developments making sure that TLG is ahead of the curve in delivering value for our diverse range of stakeholders, maintaining our credibility and being known as a company that cares and takes action on sustainability matters

Educational requirements and language skills

  • MBA or similar in International business, international relations, economics
