Lead and develop the sales organisation towards sales excellence

LEGO Education is committed to delivering amazing learning experiences to children all around the world. China, Asia and Pacific markets are key to our growth strategy. Based in Shanghai, your main responsibility will be to build the sales strategy and implementation plan for the CAPAC region, in collaboration with the trade marketing leadership team spanning 40+ countries. This involves managing and leading all sales activities for the business to deliver scalable growth. In order to create a high-performance team, while recruiting and on-boarding new premium brand customers, you will:

  • Lead, manage and engage a sales team of 18 (distributed across multiple markets in the region) through effective people leadership practices including coaching and developing capabilities in sales excellence and introducing new tools

  • Nurture and develop a high-performance culture with clear KPIs and a collaborative and cohesive mind-set across the sales organisation as well as the entire organisation

  • Build a platform for new premium brand customers, with a particular focus on China and Japan to deliver high growth based on local investments

  • Be responsible for major customers in the region and establish strategic business relations in a business-to-government setting

  • Build up distribution channels via trade partners and ensure that sales supporting systems and technologies are leveraged

As you will be building sales, it is vital that you are able to focus your efforts in the right places and make strategic choices which benefit us and our partners. And you are empathic, clear-sighted and have a transparent leadership style that invites conversations and co-creation of ways of learning. Moreover, you:

  • Have extensive sales management experience combined with solid people management and leadership experience

  • Are highly skilled within sales, sales leadership and sales leadership development

  • Preferably have a background working with the educational sector and/or creating high level relationships with ministries of education

  • Hold a master’s degree in sales and/or marketing

  • Have cultural insight and sensitivity to work across various cultures and in a Danish/global organisation, preferably from an international background or through expatriation
