Are you looking for an opportunity to use your colour and masterbatch expertise and take your knowledge to the next level?

Then join us to ensure the perfect LEGO® look and feel - every time a child opens a box of LEGO bricks.

Ensure a high-quality colour platform

In this 14-month maternity cover starting as soon as possible and no later than August 1, you will develop your specialist skills. Working in a team of material specialists, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, high quality and sustainable material platform, focusing specifically on masterbatch and colours. You will lead activities that improve the platform and support global stakeholders in production, quality and novelty projects to sustain operational momentum. Here, you will be highly involved in troubleshooting, acting as technical sounding board and building relations to materials suppliers. Specifically, you will:

  • Qualify masterbatch materials and new suppliers according to existing requirements

  • Facilitate the development and optimisation of your own resin masterbatch categories

  • Take an active part in internal and external meetings and workshops to assess and approve colours

  • Approve, assure and optimise material quality, including the evaluation of material properties related to processing conditions for new materials and colours

  • Maintain technical relations to suppliers by conducting visits and making sure that they are aware of any problems

  • Provide global production and design support and training, including advising on technical issues

Only the best is good enough

In the LEGO Group, we are dedicated to finding new materials, so we can deliver high quality and creative play experiences in the future, while caring for the environment and future generations. Working in Materials, you will join a department with dedicated experts, whose engagement and commitment are contagious. Here, you will develop your skills, as you collaborate broadly throughout our global organisation, to help us enrich the lives of children across the globe.

Masterbatch and colour understanding

In the team, we focus on quality and innovation. As a result, you will meet high demands and considerable amounts of troubleshooting. Simultaneously, you will communicate with many internal and external partners. Therefore, you must have the functional expertise to secure a high level of technical solutions and the ability to deploy this knowledge in a business context.

We are open to a wide range of backgrounds, e.g. within polymers or from the graphic or materials industry. Regardless of your background, we imagine that you:

  • Understand the use of masterbatch in production and the material value chain in terms of design and production processes

  • Have experience with technical supplier relations, quality control and trouble shooting

  • Hold a degree in chemistry, material or process engineering or have the practical experience to match this level of expertise

  • Communicate effortlessly in English

Bringing it to life

“You will have every possibility to use your unique knowledge across the entire LEGO value chain, as you advise on complex technical issues. Here, your work will bring value to manufacturing and designers globally,” says Hanne Træholt Odegaard, Director Materials.
