Celebrate the power of play
In 2016, the LEGO® Group launched an annually recurring global PlayDay to celebrate play, the LEGO idea, mission and values. Every single factory and office was closed for all employees around the world to play and celebrate the importance of play and learning and share great moments with colleagues. This was just the beginning as we have huge ambitions for the future development of PlayDay.
Based in Billund, you will be instrumental in developing a future looking “PlayDay ambition” building on the existing objectives, learnings and with the perspective of building an even more playful workplace.
In addition, the PlayDay Program Lead will work closely with the LEGO Foundation to create synergies and benefit from the shared mission to inspire and develop children through play. Main responsibility areas will be:
Lead the development of the plan and roadmap for our LEGO PlayDay in close collaboration with the LEGO Foundation and relevant stakeholders across the LEGO branded entities
Lead the yearly concept development of LEGO PlayDay in close collaboration with the extended global PlayDay team and other internal delivery teams as well as relevant external partners
Establish and drive clear programme governance through a steering committee and systematic reporting to ensure buy-in and avoid potential roadblocks
Overall program management to ensure the annual PlayDay is executed and delivered to budget and timelines in partnership with the Global Project team, local event drivers and relevant internal and external partners
Play an important role in the continued development and nurture of a playful work culture in the LEGO Group. Find ways to further install play as a vital part of the way we work.

The Social Responsibility & Engagement team is accountable for delivering the LEGO Group’s responsibility priorities within the social area, anchored in our Planet Promise. Our responsibility work is deeply rooted in the LEGO Group’s legacy, family ownership, mission and values and plays a critical role in living up to the great trust people shows the LEGO brand. We feel a huge sense of responsibility to do our very best to inspire and develop children through play while leaving a significant positive impact on the world children will inherit. We believe the LEGO employees has a key role to play and that is why we have developed a portfolio of activities to engage employees in play, understanding the critical role play has for children’s development. As PlayDay Program Lead you will join the combined Corporate Responsibility Leadership team and be part of a continued development to drive the responsibility agenda and ensure a joint execution effort across the teams.
Experience in managing complex, global programmes.
You are passionate and committed to the importance of changing mindsets about the importance of play and learning through play. Moreover, you thrive in a global and sometimes complex environment where you are challenged to juggle many tasks at the same time. You always deliver high quality in collaboration with your team because you are a strong believer of co-creation facilitating a better final delivery.
You hold extensive experience with leading and managing complex, global programmes involving senior level stakeholders
You have experience with programme strategy development and implementation in a diverse, complex, multi-national stakeholder environment
Your organisational understanding is vital and a high degree of practical skills to converting great ideas into business value
You have a holistic approach to issue solving, strong change management capabilities and excellent in creating strong networks – globally
You master excellent communication skills as enabler for successful execution
It is an advantage if you have experience with complex event preparation and management
You should expect around 25 travelling days per year.
