Our connection with consumers does not only happen through our LEGO® bricks but also increasingly through our digital platforms
Do you want to be part of this development? Then here is your chance to use your creativity to further develop and improve our website, so we can create engaging consumer experiences and inspire all the builders of tomorrow.
Join our digital universe!
In our Digital Agile Development division in Billund, we have full feature teams dedicated to designing, developing and maintaining different LEGO web platforms with a focus on striking the right balance between security, quality, features and deadlines. Our teams are ready to welcome you and another new senior front-end developer to collaborate on specific projects: LEGO.com for Kids and our account system LEGO ID.
• provide advice and recommendations to the business and break down feature requirements into user stories
• design and implement LEGO web experiences in your own team and in collaboration with other development teams
• operate and maintain web sites and systems once they are released
You will work in close collaboration with your team, including your team leader, back-end developers and graphic and user experience designers. Although we all have our designated roles and responsibilities, we encourage each other, and you, to get creative and share knowledge and ideas with each other to improve the user experience.
Are you the front-end developer we are looking for?
Depending on your abilities and preference towards either LEGO.com for Kids or LEGO ID, you will be assigned to a specific team and take joint responsibility for the designated system. It is therefore important that you are highly collaborative and thrive in teams where sharing ideas, knowledge and responsibility is part of daily life.
• knowledge of HTML/CSS in both modern browsers as well as knowledge on how to support older versions
• understanding of the infrastructure setup related to web applications (DNS, CDN, load balancing, IIS, etc.)
• excellent English skills - both written and spoken
Knowledge of OWASP´s top 10 risks for web applications, Amazon Web Services and a relevant degree in software engineering or computer science is a plus, but not a requirement.
Bringing it to life
“You build it - you run it. In this position, you do not have to let go of your project once it is launched but will continue to work on it. Your designated platform will therefore truly become your project,” explains Anders Nygaard, Director of Consumer Marketing Platforms.
Join the global LEGO® family
In the LEGO Group, we succeed together, and you will be part of a global family where you can use your creativity and enjoy a fun working environment. We look forward to receiving your application. Please remember to attach your cover letter and a current CV in English.
If you would like to know more about the position, please contact Director of Consumer Marketing Platforms Anders Nygaard on +45 79 50 57 77.
This position was posted 31-05-2018 and may be online up to 10 weeks following this date. We do not have application deadlines on any of our positions. We take candidates into the recruitment process continuously and fill the position once we have found the right candidate.
